A Cool Afternoon with some Hot Air

February marked the month of the 16th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Clark. This travel was just an impromptu one as Jacque and I had some plans of going somewhere, but with her Ate Helen and friends asked us to go with them, this seemed to be the better idea. And indeed, it was.

We went there at the last day and at a late time so we had nothing much to expect. What we were trying to really see was the lighted hot air balloons. Well, here are some photos of the event.

Breakfast in Bataan

It was Faye‘s birthday celeb and I got the chance to be a part of it. The celebration was in Bataan, her home place. It was my first time to be there so it was really a nice experience.

We departed from the Pasay terminal Mariveles bound around 4AM. For your reference, the fare is around 270+Php. After three hours (with half of it me trying to sleep but can’t due to the ‘call of nature’) of travel, we arrived at her place and was met with a sumptuous buffet. Real good food! Thanks Faye!

Tagaytay Wanderings

So, we had no plans of whatsoever this day but Ate Helen and Ate Shey, we got to chilly Tagaytay one afternoon. The plan was just to stay and set camp (or banig?) at picnic grove. When it was turning dark, off we went to Magallanes Square to grab some coffee that became a (disastrous) dinner at Teriyaki Boy. Last stop was some alcoholic drinks (that was not alcoholic at all) at Kon-Tiki. But then again, it was still all good.

What do you do on a boring Saturday? Go somewhere!

The original plan is that I go at Jacque’s house and just chill. Upon arriving at her house, she said that we are going to Tagaytay. Reaction: “Oh…Cool!”

I mean, yeah, Tagaytay shouldn’t be a big deal. But going there with her and her sister Ate Helen and her sister’s friend Ate Sheryl and her nephew Dane is cool. Just chilling and eating out can really be a de-stresser.
