Not all Sundays are lazy, there are crazy ones too!

And this shoot almost did not push through. Thank you for the people who came!
But of course, thank you Jacque for pushing me!
I just finished taking the fashion photography classes of Raymund Isaac, the known “High Priest of Philippine Fashion Photography”, and I must say, it was a blast! I mean, every peso I paid was all worth it, or maybe he gave us too much! Aha!
I was able to learn the real way of how to do things. I used to rely more on Photoshop, but after the workshop, it seems that I will be taking a more “organic” way on shooting. Thank you Raymund for showing us the way!
Well, I had some good model shots from the workshop, but I was not able to secure model consents, so I think I’ll be posting my classmates photos in exchange of that thought.
Err, I would also want to post his photo, but I think he’ll kill me if I do. To my dear classmates, please don’t sue me. Ahaha!

No this is no porn show. But this is a show alright, a show of 30 years of Niccolo Cosme’s personal journey through his images.

Cosme XXX is like the visual representation of Niccolo Cosme’s 30 years of existence, infused with his experiences as a fashion photographer for 9 years now. His influences on Christian iconography and religious artifacts has been his niche in the industry, elevating him into another realm of understanding.
Congrats Boss Nic.
Let me help you again with another exhibit.
Here are the other photos taken using my phone cam (I did not bring my camera that night).

Well, here’s Terri Bivins. She is one model you cannot miss. Just by the way she looks and stands, there is no doubt that you will not see her as a model. She’s only been modelling since, 14 years old. Right now, she’s around 20-something so there. Posing for her is like breathing and yawning. Ha!
Well, she was not my model. This was the shoot of another photog from the first Lighthouse Studio workshop by Niccolo Cosme. And yes, being the echussera (?) person that I am, I took some shots.
)
By the way, the excellent hair and make-up done by Robert Caindoc of iModels Casting Agency.
Here are other photos of her:
Okay, so it has been long due for me but I have been wanting to become a fashion/portraiture photographer for eons now. So, I am making my bold move. I will be taking this seriously.
The model is Carlo Adorador. He is one of Niccolo Cosme’s old model friends, the link dating back 2001. He is really professional on modeling for us, which made taking pictures easier.
Here are just samples, a warm-up for my rise. (Yes, seriously.)
She’s Macy Valdezco, and she’s now a princess in full bloom.
She is my college classmate’s younger sister who just turned 18 last May. Cool that she asked me to lend my talents (erm, talents eh?) for the pictures of her special event; it’s not everyday a girl becomes a woman.
By the way, the picture here are just teasers from the event.
How many letters separates Yanity and Vanity? Not much right?
Here’s Ariane Saquilayan, wavemate (work) and friend from TeleTech Bacoor. She’s the first one to really trust in my skills and asked me to take her pics. This is just the other half of the shoot, as I have the other set about her which is entitled “Turning Japanese”.
Reversal. Eclipse. Tides are turned.
This is Fashion Eclipse, an annual event held by the Communication Arts Department in De La Salle University Dasmariñas. Participants are the two courses under CAD, Communication and Broadcast Journalism studes. This is to showcase the skills of these students in the design world, infusing it with objects from media. Here are some pics taken from the event.
And oh, kudos to Broadcast Journalism Program Council (this year’s host/organizer) for pulling off an awesome show that time.

This is Sam, the president of Broadcast Journalism Program Council plus the host for the event. Hmmm, it seems that he has soem resemblances with Boy Abunda… I didn’t know that, until now. XD
This year’s theme is of J-Pop (if not mistaken) or Harajuku-inspired outfits. some did manage to show a design that has fusion of media and the said theme. Some with the theme only, and some, just made a design. Tsk. (I’m a fashion critique now? Whoa. @_@)

And oh, I tried my best in capturing good shots. Some were just to dark, because the venue is really dark. And er, I don’t have a dSLR, but I think my Sony H7 was able to handle it. ![]()
And disclaimer, I am not a fashion photographer, but I would love to learn though.

This girl was a strong contender. I thought she had the looks and the posture. Even the body was like of a model; it’s just that she didn’t win.

This is Denise, a friend of mine. I didn’t know she was in the said fashion expo. Cool. She looked good, but her outfit… was… well… I don’t think it’s really in line with the theme. Hers looked more of Moulin Rouge like costume.

For the girls, it was this young lass from Com 22 (I think) that won the female division. She had a nice posture, also gifted with slender legs and a knack for posing, reason enough for her to stand out from the rest. She wasn’t the crowd favorite though.
Melai is.

This is Melai, the crowd favorite. She had a very model-ish posture at the stage and yes, she had a nice outfit to complement her moves. Very funny girl too. Or, err… guy? Haha. Kidding, Melai.
There are also guys in the competition. Here are some of them.

But this next guy, he was the one who stood out from the guys.

He was the one who made almost all the girls stand and clap (even my girlfriend was cheering and shouting for him. Tsk. Woe is me). And oh, he was the one who won the award for best male model.
Cool thing about this year’s competition, the winners received not only certificates but also 50% discounts for some workshop for models.
‘Til next year! (If I am available to shoot again)
