So who is Kulturang Ewan?
My name is Dustin Carbonera a.k.a. Kulturang Ewan. I moderate this blog for personal use, which, yes, includes some violence, gore and… no, kidding! Personal use meaning I use this to publicly show my views, Â exhibit my works as an artist and at times, humiliate myself here in the whole wide web.

So why Kulturang Ewan?
Kulturang Ewan (meaning “Indefinite Culture”) refers to my idea or how I describe Philippine culture per se. Our culture has been through a lot (and we all know what A LOT means when we talk about this), and because of all the changes that has happen, we are now in an era in which we do not know what is our culture. Yeah, we know the Alibata, the KKK, and bathalumans and stuff but I believe our REAL culture has more to offer, which sadly, is lost in time. And because of this, we are now a hodge-podge of nations which I think is out culture today. Its diverse and unique nature is now our face.

To have a better grasp who I am, here are some random fact blasts about myself:
- I have a girlfriend named Jacqueline Yabut, who of course, serves not only as a girlfriend but also confidant, editor-in-chief, conscience, critic, boss, auditor, secretary, treasurer (she keeps part of my money so that I don’t use them on some wasted shindigs), and future wife.
- I love the color orange. The color signifies energy and cheerfulness. The color orange gives me energy boosts when needed. No, it is not because of Enervon. The fondness to the color started with my course in college, Broadcast Journalism.
- I am an aspiring fashion photographer, with tutelage coming from the one of the best in the field, Niccolo Cosme, and gathering inspiration from the finest group of people like Xander Angeles, Doc Marlon Pecjo, Marc Nicdao, Jay Tablante, the Dagooc brothers of MangoRed and of course, Annie Leibovitz.
- But I can safely say that my first love is graphic design. I am into minimalist and clean design. And I love typography. I easily get irritated with wrong fonts on such good designs, and hate more wrong fonts on bad designs.
- I have super crush with Maricar Reyes, so if you have contact with her, please, do not hesitate to refer me to her. *runs cowardly from Jacque throwing a rain of steel plates*
- I have no formal art course whatsoever. As the Dagooc brothers said it in their blog, the real world can give you the best courses.
There you go.
I hope that gives me a good and clear intro on who I am.
Really, feel free on reading the whole blog and I do hope you enjoy rummaging through my, err, pieces.
