Survival of the fittest. It's a dog eats dog world out there. Might as well become a big and strong one.
This picture is one of my favorites. I mean, yeah, simple one, three kids trying to get a coin. For the people who propagates and nurtures this system, this might be fun. But for the kisd down there, it’s very different.
Plus the symbolism that they are stuck in murky waters, sheesh, reminds me of how cruel the world can be. Sometimes we drool over the latest gadgets and luxurious things that we forget other more important things. Think for our brother and sisters. Why can’t we make something for them? A better world perhaps?
I speak like this when I’m in utopia. When I wake up, it’s dark again. I can’t see the light. Will I ever see it?
I hope.
Can I be Ninoy?

Twenty-five years ago, there was a man who fought for freedom and peace. That was a courageous act, knowing that death could be the reply for his actions, and sadly it was indeed the answer. But even in his death, his spirit still remains within us, pure and untapped. There is a Ninoy in all of us.
Ninoy is a hero. No superpowers, no costumes, no justice friends and all. He’s plain ordinary, but his heart made him extra special.
Sad that heroes, or people exhibiting courage and virtues against a notorious power is silenced, by any means possible and last resort is death.
Let us change this. We can.
Small steps will help. We just have to believe in them.
The iamninoy movement believes in them.
The iamninoy movement is a revolution slowly brewing here locally. The movement:
“puts its core belief in one thing – that it is the youth of today who are empowered and ready to step up and wear the mantle of heroism. Not necessarily through massive acts on a national scale, but through such simple deeds as offering one’s seat on the bus, or by picking up their litter, or by treating their peers with the utmost dignity and respect.”
You see, every small act can be heroism. Heroism doesn’t really involve martyrdom; it entails one to be virtuous, to be responsible of one’s action. That is the essence of being a hero.
You can view the whole movement’s campaign through its website, http://iamninoy.com/.
Small note: I just hope this movement is one true act, not just some propaganda to extort money from the people. I believe in Ninoy, even though I am one year short with the glorious year of 1986.
One Year and Five Months
**Old picture. Taken last year September (I think). Tinkered/Remixed in Adobe Photoshop CS3
So, one year and five months. What’s with that huh? This might just be the time when babies are able to stand up by themselves, or are able to speak their first words. Very young, but very restless.
Very young, one can say, but I think our relationship is already very deep; connection between us are bonded by what we have. We are interconnected by an invisible line and mind you, this is one strong line that is made unbreakable by what we did, what we are doing, and what we’ll be doing.
Happy one year and five months Kim, happy for us. Eu te amo, Meu Kim.
Booze+Party=So High
Currently, I work for TeleTech Bacoor site, but I had an assignment to shoot for TeleTech Roxas. Cool. It was an assignment to shoot their Roxas Pride Awards that was held at the Embassy.
Took some so-so shots with my Sony H7, with my co-photogs there all use a dSLR. Wish I had one, dang.
Picture above is one of my faves for that night, which I think best displays how a club scene would look like from a real party animal. Blurred vision from booze and enhanced by the club lights which seem to dance with the beat, this is what I see here.
What did the Lourd say?
“Great artists steal, inferior ones borrow.” (T.S. Eliot)
Sadly, I wasn’t listening that well when he explained this. I was too engrossed at the fact that the man in front of me is the legendary Lourd de Veyra of the band Radioactive Sago Project.
I wasn’t really a fan of him before, but upon hearing his ideas through his music, I was baptized on the spot.
